Job summary

NHL Holding Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Site Engineer (Construction) for a full-time role to oversee on-site activities, manage technical aspects, and ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence across construction projects. The role requires a Civil/Structural engineering degree and 2–5 years of site experience, with strong drawing interpretation, communication and problem-solving skills.

You will coordinate with contractors and support the Site Manager to deliver projects on time.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 2–5 years of site-based experience in construction project management or site engineering.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and safety standards relevant to civil and structural works.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders on site.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance in all construction activities.
• Competency in site documentation, reporting, and record-keeping using digital and manual systems.
• Knowledge of construction safety protocols and experience implementing HSE best practices.
• Familiarity with construction management software and MS Office applications is advantageous.
• Professional membership with Engineering bodies (such as PEI or IES) is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee daily construction activities to ensure work is executed in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and approved methodologies
• Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify that construction work meets required standards and specifications
• Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, inspection reports, and progress documentation
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Identify and resolve on-site construction issues, technical challenges, and discrepancies in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the construction site
• Liaise between the design team and construction team to clarify project requirements and resolve design-related queries
• Monitor project progress against the approved schedule and report any deviations or delays
• Assist in the preparation of progress reports and communicate project status to senior management
• Support the Site Manager in managing site resources, equipment, and personnel effectively
