Job summary

HOCK LIAN SENG INFRASTRUCTURE PTE. LTD.d is seeking a Resident Architect to monitor and manage architectural works on-site.

The role involves ensuring construction aligns with approved designs, specifications, quality standards, and statutory requirements, while coordinating with consultants, BIM teams, and subcontractors for timely delivery. You will oversee interfaces with multiple disciplines, lead coordination meetings, review submissions, and drive defect rectification to maintain project

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise architectural works on site to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, design intent, contract requirements and regulations.
• Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups and method statements for approval by Consultant/Architect.
• Coordinate with design team on submissions, RFIs, DARs, design changes and other project matters to obtain timely approvals.
• Provide practical, buildable architectural solutions to resolve site issues while minimizing delays and costs.
• Coordinate interfaces with structural, civil, M&E, tunnelling, railway systems, fire protection and other disciplines for proper integration.
• Monitor areas including stations, concourses, platforms, circulation, back-of-house, plant rooms and other facilities.
• Ensure finishes, doors, ceilings, walls, floors, waterproofing, fire-rated elements, signage and accessibility meet standards.
• Lead coordination meetings with main contractor teams, subcontractors and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Use BIM 360 and other platforms to review drawings, models and clashes and drive timely resolutions.
• Work with BIM coordinators to ensure coordinated construction information and timely updates.
• Assess quality of completed works against samples and establish workmanship standards on site.
• Coordinate inspections and approve architectural works with consultants and relevant parties, addressing comments and defects.
• Follow up on non-conforming works and coordinate rectification with subcontractors.
• Liaise with authorities and consultants to fulfill statutory requirements and obtain clearances.
• Support TOP, CSC, SCDF, and RI inspections and address requirements before inspections.
• Track progress towards statutory milestones and handover, flagging architectural risks to timeline.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties and handover documentation prepared by subcontractors.
• Assist in final inspections, testing, commissioning and defect rectification to meet standards.
• Provide regular progress updates to Project Manager/Director on architectural progress, quality, design and outstanding works.
• Maintain records of site inspections, architectural submissions and technical correspondence.
