Job summary

Trafigura Group is seeking a Shipping Operator in Singapore for an 8‑month contract. You will manage Time Charter vessel operations, optimize bunker usage, and coordinate stowage and post-fixture activities to ensure compliance with global regulations and company standards.

You will work in a multinational, fast-paced environment, handling data analysis and reporting to maximize performance across all voyages. Strong IT literacy with IMOS/ZeroNorth is essential.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in an owners/broker house handling operations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake voyage planning to meet international regulations and respond to vessel operational issues.
• Optimize bunker procurement and consumption strategies.
• Review and coordinate stowage planning, cargo handling operations, and real-time issue resolution.
• Coordinate agency appointments and provide voyage orders to vessels.
• Monitor vessel performance across voyages, including speed and consumption analysis.
• Coordinate weather routing services and performance initiatives.
• Manage hold/tank cleaning optimization.
• Handle vessel questionnaires, certificates, LOIs and supporting documentation.
• Maintain/update company software with operational data.
• Collaborate with internal/external counterparties for pre/post-fixture activities.
• Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and Trafigura policies.
• Prepare operational reports and performance analysis.
