Job summary

SGS TESTING & CONTROL SERVICES SINGAPORE PTE LTD is seeking a detail-oriented Analyst to conduct laboratory tests and analyses in accordance with established standards. You will perform analyses at site laboratories or in the field, prepare reagents, and review results when questions arise.

The role requires a Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related fields, hands-on GC experience, strong safety knowledge, and the ability to work under tight deadlines as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and analysis in compliance with established laboratory standards, policies and processes, and record all findings accurately.
• Perform analysis at site laboratories or at field assignments.
• Prepare and standardize reagents and test solutions.
• Review, question and repeat results if suspicious results are encountered.
• Represent the Laboratory as witness at third party and refinery laboratory.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the laboratory, including apparatus, equipment and materials used.
• Assist in the practical training of new Analyst where assigned.
• Perform shift work and overtime when required.
• Perform any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Apply judgement and act according to SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
