Job summary

PYROTECH PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an OHS professional to plan and implement health and safety policies, advise employees on safety topics, and prepare educational seminars and risk assessments.

The role requires extensive knowledge of current legislations, hazardous materials handling, and the ability to write and review policies. Familiarity with data analysis, MS Office, and experience in a manufacturing environment are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of legislations and procedures.
• Knowledge of hazardous materials or practices.
• Experience writing health and safety policies and procedures.
• Familiar with data analysis and statistics reporting.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
• Certified in occupational health and safety (BCSS or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement OHS policies and programs
• Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
• Prepare educational seminars and webinars on a regular basis
• Review existing policies and procedures
• Adhere to all the rules and regulations
• Prepare documents for risk assessment & method of statement
• Enforce preventative measures
• Identify process bottlenecks and offer timely solutions
• Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations
• Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
• Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees’ safety
