Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc is seeking a Systems & Support Engineer in Singapore to support maritime and subsea systems from deployment to sustainment. The role involves hands-on problem solving, system integration, and close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Your work will cover installation, testing, on-site and remote support, and contributions to product improvements while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, or equivalent).
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Medically fit for offshore and shipboard operations.
• Experience in design engineering or product development is advantageous.
• Systems thinking and system-of-systems awareness.
• Hands-on technical capability.
• Strong customer engagement and communication.
• Adaptability in operational environments.
• Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional and multicultural environments.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, and support systems during deployments, trials, and operations.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair systems, providing on-site and remote customer support.
• Integrate, configure, and test subsystems, supporting FAT/SAT and resolving integration issues.
• Monitor system performance, analyse failures, and support maintenance, spares, and sustainment planning.
• Deliver training and develop documentation to support customer operational readiness.
• Feed operational insight into product improvements, upgrades, configuration control, and safety compliance.
