Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Proven work experience as a marine mechanic.
• Ability to work in engine room onboard vessel.
• Ability to work offshore.
• Adhere to safety standards and practices at all times.
• Communicate clearly with service staff and customers.

Responsibilities

• Traveling to shipyard/docking area where the vessel is located.
• Testing the performance of marine engines and electrical systems.
• Carrying out overhaul/troubleshooting of main engines and generators.
• Completing service records and repair documents; maintains paper work including timesheets, service reports and parts Returns.
• All repair procedures carried out according to service manuals.
• Service jobs completed efficiently within standard job hour guidelines.
• Maintenance of clean and orderly work areas.
• Perform in-house and on-site calibration.
