Job summary

Indosuez Wealth Management is seeking an experienced Operations Specialist for its Middle Office team in Singapore.

You will be at the heart of daily operational activities, driving process improvements and automation, and partnering with traders, MIS, and finance to deliver operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in business, accounting or related discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Treasury, Settlement or Middle Office operations within the banking industry.
• Strong understanding of Swift network and related systems.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support Operations with external partners and internal teams.
• Collaborate across traders, MIS, Finance and front office for operational requests.
• Lead and deploy automated tools to improve data management and workflow efficiency.
• Document and communicate process enhancements and technical solutions.
• Contribute to change management arising from IT or regulatory developments.
• Prepare and review regulatory and operational reports.

• Participate in system testing and rollout of new tools.

Job description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented operations specialist to join our dynamic Middle Office team. In this role, you will be at the heart of daily operational activities and be involved with driving process improvements in a fast-paced financial environment.

You will partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver operational excellence and drive automation initiatives and optimize workflows for the team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the below tasks, but not limited to: -

• Monitor and Support Operations: Deliver timely and accurate covering for operational monitoring all while working closely with external partners, such as correspondent banks, custodians, back office, other group entities.
• Collaborate across teams: Liaise with various departments (traders, MIS, Finance department and front office staff) for operational requests and issues handling.
• Enhance Efficiency: Lead and support common sense operational initiatives, develop and deploy automated tools to improve workflows, using VBA, SQL and PYTHON to improve data management and workflow efficiency.
• Document and communicate all process enhancements and technical solutions to facilitate team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the change management arising from major IT, operational developments or local regulatory requirements.
• Manage reporting: Prepare and review reports covering both areas, regulatory reporting and operational monitoring.
• Investigate and improve: Conduct operational incident monitoring (root cause analysis, action plans) and follow-up on operational incidents.
• Test and Validate: Participate in system testing and implementation of new tools and/or process changes.

Required skills

• Strong working knowledge of Singapore RTGS (MEPS+) and Hong Kong RTGS (CHATS) is preferred.
• Strong understanding and good knowledge of SWIFT network and other related systems
• Familiarity with Money Market, Equity and Commodity products
• Technical curiosity and working knowledge of VBA, SQL and Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to details
• Dynamic, proactive, flexible with the ability to prioritize and to work independently
• Curiosity and team spirit, developed sense of listening
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) with ability to interact across levels and functions
