Job summary

Gardens by the Bay in Singapore is seeking an Officer / Executive (Security) to safeguard staff, tenants and millions of visitors. You will lead patrols, manage crowds and coordinate security for VIP visits and large events, ensuring safety around the clock.

Working with in-house and outsourced teams, you will supervise day-to-day operations, perform audits and liaise with internal workgroups, tenants and partners on event logistics and safety matters.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O' Level with a valid PLRD licence.
• A Diploma in Security Management, Risk Management or WSQ security qualification is preferred - particularly for appointment at the Executive level.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, including crowd management at large-scale events.
• Relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid with CPR & AED, WSQ incident-management or fire-safety modules, or a PLRD Security Supervisor licence), a valid Class 3 driving licence, and prior experience in the uniformed services (SAF / SPF / SCDF) will be advantageous.
• A keen eye for detail, with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
• Team player who also works well independently, comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google services, and willing to learn and adopt new systems, technologies and skillsets.
• Able to work on rotating shifts, including overnight shifts, weekends and public holidays.

• Crowd & Traffic Management: Manage crowd flow and safety during peak periods and large-scale events, and oversee vehicular traffic, drop-off and arrival points to keep access safe and orderly.
• Team Supervision: Supervise and manage a team of outsourced security staff, ensuring reliable coverage and consistent performance to standard.
• VIP & Event Security: Coordinate and execute security arrangements for VIP visits and events.
• Systems & Audits: Conduct security audits and systematic checks to ensure all security systems, services and technologies are well maintained and fully operational.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Liaise with internal workgroups, tenants and clients on event logistics, coordination and other security and safety matters.

Job Description

As an Officer / Executive (Security), you will help safeguard Gardens by the Bay for our staff, tenants and the millions of visitors who come through our gates each year. From leading patrols and managing large crowds to coordinating security for VIP visits and high-profile events, you will help keep the Gardens safe and welcoming - around the clock.

You will also be required to attend to any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.
