Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore invites undergraduates to join an internship focused on automating and enhancing quality management processes. You will build AI-enabled solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Copilot agents, and the Microsoft Power Platform to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.

Collaborating with the Quality team, you'll develop Lean Six Sigma coaching agents, enhance the PEACE application, and prototype AI use cases that lift process performance and user experience

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics or related field; must be in good academic standing.
• Ability to commit to at least 40 hours per week during the internship.
• Interest in AI, automation, and quality improvement or related fields through a accredited degree program.

• Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot the PEACE application using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to strengthen quality ownership across the organization.
• Evaluate and prototype AI and automation use cases that improve process efficiency, standardization, and user experience within the Quality function.

Summary of Role

This role will support the automation and enhancement of quality management processes using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Copilot agents, and Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The intern will develop AI-enabled solutions, including a Lean Six Sigma coaching agent and enhancements to the PEACE application, to improve process efficiency and support quality operations.

Essential Responsibilities include

• Collaborate with Quality team to identify opportunities and develop AI-driven solutions that improve Quality operations.
• Develop automation solutions using Copilot Studio, Power Automate, and Copilot Agents to streamline QMS processes and reduce manual, repetitive work.
• Build and maintain AI-powered Lean Six Sigma agents that modernize continuous improvement practices through intelligent coaching and guidance.
• Enhance, maintain, and troubleshoot the PEACE application using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse to strengthen quality ownership across the organization.
• Evaluate and prototype AI and automation use cases that improve process efficiency, standardization, and user experience within the Quality function.

Other Responsibilities

Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications

Education – Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, Industrial & Systems Engineering, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline with an interest in AI, automation, and quality improvement or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship. Must be in good academic standing. Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior related internship or co-op experience
• Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
• Project management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
• Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.
• Strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve productivity and business processes.
• Experience building AI solutions, copilots, agents, chatbots, or workflow automation using Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, Azure AI, or similar tools.
• Ability to identify business challenges and develop practical technology solutions with measurable impact.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive adoption of new solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI) is highly desirable.
