Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Singapore is seeking a Machine Learning Intern for the Digital Manufacturing group. You will work on developing and deploying AI/ML solutions, analyzing manufacturing data, and collaborating with data scientists and engineers.

The role offers hands-on mentorship, exposure to MLOps practices, and the opportunity to contribute to real-world AI initiatives. Availability for 16–24 week program starting January 2027; 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Familiarity with Python and common data science libraries.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts.
• Exposure to PyTorch and Scikit-Learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Must be in good academic standing.
• Available for a 16–24 week internship commencing January 2027.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support the AI Integration Team in developing and deploying AI/ML models.

Summary of Role:

As a Machine Learning Intern for Digital Manufacturing, you will be joining the Digital Manufacturing Group and get hands on experience developing and deploying AI, machine learning, and Generative AI solutions within the AI Integration Team. You will help support best practices for analytics use case development, deployment, scaling, and maintenance of AI/ML projects.

Essential Responsibilities include:

• Support the AI Integration Team in developing and deploying AI/ML models.
• Analyse manufacturing data to develop features, insights, and predictive models.
• Work with highly complex data for feature development using AI/ML models.
• Collaborate with Digital Manufacturing MLEs, data scientists, and business stakeholders on AI-driven projects.
• Learn and apply modern AI/ML technologies, software engineering practices, and MLOps concepts.

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Securityrequirementsand programs.

Required Qualifications:

• Education–Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s in in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Familiarity with Python and common data science libraries.
• Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and model development.
• Exposure to AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, and Scikit-Learn.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Mustbe ingood academic standing.
• Ability to workat least40hoursper week during the internship.
• Available for a 16–24 weekcredit-bearing internshipcommencingJanuary 2027.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior related internship or co-op experience.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, LangChain, RAG, or AI agents.
• Exposure to MLOps, CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Exposure to semiconductor or manufacturing processes.
