Job summary

Responsibilities include supervising staff, documenting care plans, and contributing to program development while maintaining high professional standards and patient safety in a nursing home environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
• Registered with the relevant professional body (APHC).
• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in nursing home, rehabilitation centre, or elderly care.
• Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to assess residents’ needs and develop appropriate therapy plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess clients’ functional abilities and develop individualized therapy programmes.
• Provide individual and group therapy to improve ADLs, upper limb function, sensory and cognitive skills.
• Monitor progress, document outcomes, and refer to specialists when needed.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation team and train caregivers in transfers and mobility.
• Maintain accurate client records, therapy plans and discharge summaries.
• Supervise OT support staff and participate in staff development.
