Job summary

Helius Technologies in Singapore is seeking an Observability Engineer - Implementation to design, implement, and manage telemetry systems that monitor software health in cloud-native environments. Role Title: Observability Engineer - Implementation

Experience:4-5+ years

Location:Singapore (Candidate must be based in Singapore)

Contract Duration:12 months & extendable (Extension is subject to project requirements.)

Work Mode:Work From Office (WFO) role.

About the Role:

Observability SME (Subject Matter Expert) is a technical specialist who designs, implements, and manages systems that track software health. They use metrics, logs, and traces (telemetry) to help engineering teams find the root causes of performance issues in complex cloud and microservices environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Architecture & Setup: Build and configure observability platforms (such as Datadog, Dynatrace, or the ELK stack).
• Telemetry Design: Define key performance indicators (KPIs), structured logs, and distributed traces across applications.
• Incident Troubleshooting: Lead root-cause analysis during major system outages or latency spikes.
• System Reliability: Work with DevOps and Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to boost uptime and system resilience.

Key Skills Needed

• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, microservices), and APIs.
• Proficiency with observability tools (Prometheus, Splunk, New Relic, OpenTelemetry).
