Job summary

IET PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support Nutrition and Food Science practical lessons and examinations. You will prepare ingredients and trays, and help maintain cleanliness in school kitchens.

You will monitor stock, assist with ordering, and report equipment issues. The role requires basic cooking skills and the ability to communicate in simple English within a Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum secondary school education preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience as an FCE Kitchen Assistant in a secondary school is preferred.
• Able to communicate in simple English.
• Basic cooking ability is preferred.
• Able to carry out kitchen cleaning, food preparation and stock management duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and trays for practical lessons and examinations.
• Maintain cleanliness of school kitchens, cookers, tables, sinks and waste bins.
• Assist with ordering food ingredients, kitchen equipment and cleaning supplies.
• Monitor ingredient stock, expiry dates and clean refrigerators as scheduled.
• Wash kitchen towels and aprons, report equipment defects and support other assigned duties.
