Job summary

Soitec in Singapore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support NPW management and ensure material availability for smooth production with quality integrity.

You will monitor NPW lots, control NPW WIP, perform daily reporting and basic data analysis using Google Sheets, JMP or Power BI, and participate in improvement projects aimed at reducing costs and increasing flow efficiency. Cleanroom experience and 12-hour shift availability are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in semiconductor fab or related environment.
• Familiar with cleanroom protocols and safety.
• Able to communicate in English and work in a team.
• Willingness to work 12-hour day/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor NPW lots to support daily plan outputs.
• Control NPW WIP and plan starts and recycling.
• Daily reporting and basic data analysis using Sheets/JMP/Power BI.
• Initiate and present improvement projects for NPW cost and flow.
• Operate production equipment for high-quality SOI and Refresh products.
• Ensure operations follow SOP and prevent wafer scrap.

Job description

This position reports to the Manager of Manufacturing Excellence as an integral part of this fast-paced team. The role will play a critical role in NPW (Non Productive Wafer management) and performing the daily tasks to ensure the availability of material to ensure smooth operational execution without quality impact and disruption of production.

What does the job consist?

• On‑Time Delivery: Monitor and expedite all NPW lots to support production in meeting the daily plan outputs for customer (plant end users) demand.
• Overall NPW WIP management: Control NPW WIP and plan for starts and recycling to achieve NPW cost, tool time, and inventory targets. Work with shift Manufacturing team to ensure good housekeeping of NPW WIP.
• Report, analyse, and troubleshoot: Daily reporting and monitoring (e.g. of cost, moves, inventory) using spreadsheet and relevant presentation slides. Perform basic data analysis using Google Sheets, JMP or Power BI. Perform basic troubleshooting of potential wafer issues.
• Improvement: Initiate, plan, execute, analyse, and present improvement projects in the areas of NPW cost, inventory, flow efficiency, tool time, or others to improve overall standard of work.
• Production Equipment: Operate production equipment in assigned areas to support the manufacture of high quality SOI and Refresh products.
• Quality and Quantity of Output: Execute operations according to SOP and actively do NC prevention to ensure no non‑conformance and wafer scrap.

Requirements & Qualifications

• NITEC or ‘O’ / ‘A’ levels with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
• Basic computer skills, basic knowledge of cleanroom environment / protocol.
• Good communication skills, good team player.
• Able to communicate and conversed in English.
• Able to work on day/night 12 hour shift as required in cleanroom environment with the gowning of jumpsuit.
• Semiconductor Fab experience preferred.
