Job summary

Novotel Singapore on Stevens and Mercure Singapore on Stevens seek a Banquet Operations Support to assist the Banquet Operations Manager in supervising events, optimizing operations, and controlling costs to deliver high-quality F&B services aligned with hotel standards.

You will supervise banquet administration, assign tasks, lead briefings, and help ensure profitability while upholding hotel policies and reducing waste across all banquet activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee banquet event administration to ensure smooth operations and compliance with hotel policies
• Evaluate banquet operations and procedures, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality
• Assign tasks to team members and provide support during peak periods to maintain operational effectiveness
• Conduct departmental meetings and daily briefings to communicate goals, updates, and expectations clearly
• Comply with all house rules, regulations, and hotel policies to uphold standards and safety
• Forecast business volume by analyzing hotel occupancy, holidays, weather, hotel activities, and community events to optimize resource planning
• Participate in food and beverage meetings to align banquet operations with overall F&B strategy
• Analyze revenue and cost reports with the Banquet Operations Manager to prepare accurate annual budgets
• Review monthly Profit and Loss statements to ensure costs remain within budgetary limits
• Assist in enforcing pre-check and check control procedures to maintain operational integrity and minimize waste
• Monitor and control the quality and quantity of all food and beverage items served to meet guest expectations and reduce waste
• Ensure no reusable beverage items are wasted by implementing effective control measures
