Job summary

Singapore Business Federation in Singapore seeks an experienced professional to lead regional programs in Northeast Asia, collaborating with government bodies, associations and international organizations to advance Singaporean business interests.

You will identify companies in Japan and related markets, coordinate end-to-end activities from outreach to deal origination, and organize missions and events while managing divisional budgets and engagement strategies.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in marketing/ business development, business advisory, corporate secretaries, event planning and execution.
• Good understanding of the needs of Singapore businesses in their internationalisation journeys and able to offer advisory services.
• Experience working with government agencies, consultancy or NGOs is preferred.
• Strong business acumen, and a good understanding of local and international business environments, and how economic and political trends impact business.
• Relevant working experience in relevant countries (such as Japan) would be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and positive attitude, excellent work ethic and a team player.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage and organise programs and business activities with all relevant stakeholders to achieve SBF’s mission and divisional objectives.
• Strengthen ties with relevant government agencies, business associations and international organizations, especially in China and North Asia.
• Cover markets, particularly Japan, and oversee end-to-end processes from identification to deal origination.
• Organise business activities such as business missions and facilitate participation in international trade fairs.
• Develop divisional annual workplan and budget, and create engagement strategies for projects.
• Create awareness and interest for business opportunities in Northeast Asia.
• Provide market research, strategic reports, market analysis and intelligence input.
• Facilitate business advisory and business matching services to Singapore businesses.
• Establish and strengthen relationships with local and foreign partners, including government bodies and chambers.
• Manage projects, events, and seminars/webinars to promote trade and investments, including deals for NE Asia.
• Prepare admin reports, meeting materials, and support key initiatives.
