Job summary

Micron Singapore seeks a night shift engineer for Yield Enhancement (YE) in TEM analysis and FIB-based sample preparation. You will operate FIB and TEM systems, prepare high-quality TEM samples, and collaborate with TD groups to develop new processes and methods for yield improvement.

The role emphasizes safety, data security, and continuous learning, with opportunities to work on state-of-the-art equipment and contribute to technology development in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Materials Science, Physics, or related field.
• Comfortable working permanent night shift.
• Strong background in materials science, physics or chemistry.
• Experience with FIB and TEM operation.
• Willing to work overtime and emergency responses.
• Self-motivated and able to learn new technology independently.
• Be a phenomenal teammate to work with other TEM engineers and processing groups.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily FIB and TEM operations to support new technology development.
• Prepare high quality TEM samples using FIB and liaise with customers for information.
• Innovate new FIB techniques or embrace sophisticated FIB techniques to meet customer needs.
• Develop or embrace solutions to improve the efficiency of sample preparation.
• Provide detailed pass down to the next shift for smooth transition.
• Use approved AI-enabled tools to optimize lab procedures and maintain safety, data-security, and quality control.
