Job summary

Applied Materials is seeking a Production Supervisor in Singapore to lead a team across assembly and testing of capital equipment. You will drive daily priorities, coordinate resources, and ensure safety and quality standards are met on the production line.

You will mentor staff, manage performance, participate in scheduling and budgeting, and implement Lean improvements to optimize cycle times and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise employees involved in production and related assembly, inspection, testing and final testing activities on capital equipment and systems.
• Set up daily team priorities, develop work schedules and assign tasks; implement action plans and use shift handoffs and reviews.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings (pre-shift, safety, etc.) and track performance metrics to meet cycle time and other targets.
• Coordinate with service and/or customer groups to secure resources, tools, materials or services to meet production schedules.
• Eliminate safety incidents, improve equipment efficiency, and develop leadership and morale on the production line.
• Assist in training and career development; manage performance review processes including hiring, rewards and discipline.
• Participate in budgeting and forecasting manpower and overhead expenditures.
• Identify process and quality changes to improve manufacturing capabilities; drive Lean, Safety and Quality; take corrective action.
