Responsibilities

• Supervises employees involved in production and operation functions such as assembly, inspection, test, and final test for capital equipment and systems.
• Prioritizes production schedules based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity and material requirements.
• Participates in operational meetings.
• Supports development and tracking of organization performance metrics.
• Schedules and conducts milestone meetings.
• Responsible for meeting or improving cycle time performance and other metrics.
• Ensures timely response to operations issues impacting customer satisfaction; interfaces to ensure conformance to customer/vendor requirements; analyzes cost of quality opportunities and initiates corrective action.
• Oversees the prevention of employee accidents and injuries.
• Ensures department training for all employees, including EH&S training.
• Implements and monitors compliance to safety policies and procedures.
• Develops personnel to include training and career development; manages performance management and coaching.
• Manages employee selection, hiring, reward and discipline processes.
• Assists in capacity optimization plans and monitors manufacturing processes; analyzes and reports key data.
• Identifies process and quality changes to improve capabilities.
• Drives Lean, Safety and Quality.
• Takes corrective action.
