Job summary

NIVABIZ PTE. LTD. is seeking a motivated Junior System Engineer – Infrastructure to join our IT infrastructure team.

The role involves supporting administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of on-premises and cloud environments. You will gain hands-on experience with Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft Azure, networking, backup, and infrastructure security technologies, while collaborating with internal teams and external vendors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, engineering, or related field.
• Experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments.
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
• Assist in administering Active Directory, Group Policy, domain controllers, and authentication services.
• Support DNS, DHCP, RADIUS (NPS), and Certificate Authority services.
• Assist with Microsoft Azure services, including Azure AD/Microsoft Entra ID, Azure VMs, Azure Backup, Azure Networking, Azure Monitor, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Support hybrid integration between on-premises infrastructure and Microsoft Azure.
• Administer and support virtualization environments, including VMware and Hyper-V.
• Support SAN storage, backup, recovery, and infrastructure monitoring activities.
• Assist in maintaining backup solutions and performing scheduled recovery testing.
• Monitor infrastructure health and troubleshoot server, virtualization, network, and system-related issues.
• Support implementation of IT security policies, access controls, MFA, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Assist senior engineers with infrastructure migrations, upgrades, deployments, and other IT projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors when required.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation.
• Use PowerShell or other scripting tools to automate routine administrative tasks where applicable.

Job Description

The Company is looking for a motivated Junior System Engineer – Infrastructure to join its IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will support the administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, or technical support.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
• Exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid cloud environments will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of backup, storage, networking, and IT security concepts.
• Basic PowerShell scripting knowledge will be advantageous.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical expertise across infrastructure technologies.
