Job summary

Temus is a Temasek-backed consulting firm delivering digital transformation for public and private sectors in Singapore. We are looking for a software developer with strong Java expertise to join a focused technical team and deliver solutions on Newgen platforms.

You will participate in design, development, testing, deployment, and support, collaborating with stakeholders and following stringent processes. The role requires 3–5 years of Java development experience and hands-on Newgen platform

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of software development experience using Java technologies.
• At least 2 years hands-on experience with Newgen platforms (e.g., NewgenONE, iBPS, Omnidocs, RMS).
• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, J2EE, SQL/Oracle, JavaScript, JQuery and related technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing small projects or specific modules within larger projects.
• Work with a 3–4 member technical team to implement solutions using Newgen products.
• Participate in peer code reviews, POCs, and application integrations.
• Contribute to the technical delivery of software solutions under guidance from senior team members.
• Attend internal meetings and provide regular project updates to senior leads and stakeholders.
• Follow company processes and adhere to technical and quality standards.
• Work on fixed-price and time & materials projects across domains.
• Collaborate with clients to understand technical requirements and support issue resolution.
• Prepare and review technical documents like design specs, system architecture, and test cases.
• Share weekly status updates and contribute to project reporting.

Requirements

• FamiliarwithtoolslikeEclipse,GitHub,SoapUI,Postman,Jira,SVN.
• UnderstandingofREST/SOAPAPIs,webapplicationsecurity,andapplicationperformancebasics.
• Exposuretothird-partyintegrationssuchasCorpass,SingPass,orCoreBankingsystemsisaplus.
• ExperienceworkingwithapplicationserverslikeTomcat,WebLogic,orJBossisdesirable.
• AwarenessofDevOpspracticesandtoolslikeJenkins,Sonar,CI/CDpipelinesisabonus.
• Comfortableparticipatingindifferentsoftwarelifecyclephases–design,development,testing,deployment,andsupport.
