Job summary

National University of Singapore invites applications for a Research Assistant in the Chronobiology and Sleep Laboratory (CSL). The role focuses on behaviour interventions for improving sleep and cognitive performance, with field- and laboratory methods to measure sleep and wellbeing.

The candidate will collect data, operate equipment, and assist with recruiting participants and data analyses, with flexible hours to cover study events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, neuroscience, the life sciences, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Possess strong interpersonal skills to communicate with participants, and to work in a team-based setting.
• Have strong computer and/or analytical skills.
• Prior experience with R or other programming languages is preferred but not required.
• Able to work flexible hours to cover research study events.
• Have an interest in pursuing an advanced degree (e.g. PhD or degree in medicine).

Responsibilities

• Collect and/or process biological specimens.
• Operate study equipment.
• Monitor progress of research protocols.
• Apply EEG electrodes.
• Administer computer-based neurobehavioral tests to research participants.
• Recruit research participants and conduct data analyses.
