Job summary

Opensource in Singapore is seeking a seasoned technical lead to drive large-scale enterprise network and security projects. You will oversee design, deployment and validation while guiding engineers and coordinating with customers and vendors.

The role requires hands-on experience with Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto and Fortinet, plus strong LAN/WAN/WLAN and security knowledge. Flexibility for after-hours work is expected.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the deployment, implementation and integration of customers' Enterprise IT Network and Security Services.
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure technical deliverables, project timelines, quality standards and customer requirements are achieved.
• Act as the Technical Lead for medium to large-scale network and security projects.
• Provide technical leadership, direction and guidance to network/security engineers throughout project implementation.
• Remain hands-on in the design, configuration, implementation, migration, troubleshooting and validation of network and security solutions.
• Lead technical implementation involving:Cisco routers and switchesAlcatel network switchesCheck Point firewallsPalo Alto firewallsFortinet / FortiGate firewalls
• Review existing network environments and recommend appropriate implementation or migration approaches.
• Lead network and firewall migration, upgrade and infrastructure refresh activities.
• Provide technical guidance on LAN/WAN/WLAN, routing, switching and network security implementation.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network, firewall, connectivity and security-related issues.
• Act as the technical escalation point for engineers and customers during implementation and production issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers and principal vendors to resolve complex technical problems.
• Establish and manage TAC/vendor support cases until resolution.
• Review technical designs, implementation plans, network diagrams, test plans and project documentation prepared by the engineering team.
• Develop and review test cases and proof-of-concept activities for new hardware/software prior to deployment.
• Ensure implementation activities are properly tested, validated and documented.
• Provide technical mentoring and guidance to engineers assigned to the project.
• Support and lead scheduled after-office-hours implementation and maintenance activities where required.

Job Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco, Alcatel, Check Point, Palo Alto and Fortinet technologies.
• Proven experience leading enterprise network and security infrastructure implementation or migration projects.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Strong experience with enterprise firewall deployment, configuration, migration and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of LAN, WAN, WLAN, routing, switching, VLAN, TCP/IP and network security.
• Ability to lead engineers and provide technical direction during complex implementations and troubleshooting.
• Experience handling complex technical escalations and coordinating with principal vendors.
• Experience with F5, Aruba, Cisco ISE, SolarWinds or A10 will be an advantage.
• Cloud infrastructure/networking experience will be an advantage.
• Cisco certification such as CCNP is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication, customer-facing and technical documentation skills.
• Self-motivated and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
• Able to work flexible hours, particularly during scheduled after-office-hours implementation and maintenance windows.
