Job summary

Getronics is seeking an on-site Field Engineer in Singapore to perform installation, deployment, and on-call support across customer sites. You will conduct site surveys, install networking equipment, and support migrations with Day 1 onsite readiness.

The role requires 3+ years of field engineering experience, ability to read technical docs, and basic English; Mandarin is preferred for better customer communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of on-site field engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Basic English skills; Mandarin preferred for communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform activities at customer sites.
• Conduct technical site surveys including Wifi passive surveys; prepare sites, stage, install, and support migrations; Day 1 onsite support.
• Installations involving rack/stack and basic remote access configurations.
• Handle equipment like routers, switches, WLAN, and firewalls.
• Provide 7x24 on-call services with on-site standby SLA.
• Replace faulty field replaceable units and return equipment to normal operation.
• Install requested engineering changes and software.
• Re-pack returned equipment for RMAs.

Job description

• Activities performed in customer’s sites;
• Includes Technical site survey, Wifi passive site survey, Site preparation, Staging, Installation, support on migration, and Day 1 onsite support.
• Installation involving rack/stack, and input of basic configurations for remote access.
• Equipment include routers, LAN switches, Wireless LAN, firewall, etc.
• Provide a 7-day x 24-hours basis on-call services
• On-standby support with SLA 7*24*4.
• Replacing any field replaceable units required and returning the equipment to normal operational condition;
• Installing requested engineering changes, or any required software.
• Re-packing of returning equipment for RMA return
• 3 years of experience.
• Ability to understand technical documents and follow instructions.
• Basic command of English. Mandarin language preferred.
