Job summary

AVATAR MODERN TECHNO SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to manage data center and enterprise routing, switching, and security infrastructure.

The role includes Day 2 operations, incident handling, and collaboration with IT teams to ensure robust, secure connectivity across sites. The candidate will work with Cisco ACI/Nexus, APIC leaf/spine, FTD/ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point, and F5 load balancers, providing hands-on firewall, VPN, and network optimization expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field is required.
• 5 years of experience in network engineering (data center and enterprise environments).
• Experience with ITSM processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
• Strong knowledge of network fundamentals (OSI, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN concepts).
• Hands-on experience in routing and switching: OSPF, BGP, VLAN, STP, VTP, HSRP.
• Experience with Cisco technologies: Nexus/Cisco ACI/APIC leaf and spine/Multi-POD ACI setup.
• Experience with network security solutions: Cisco FTD/ASA, Palo Alto, Check Point.
• Strong knowledge of VPNs, GRE, DMZ, and 802.1X.
• Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancing (LTM, GTM, APM).
• Experience using packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark).
• Strong trouble shooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network performance and ensure optimal utilization and availability.
• Perform incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Execute change and release activities in alignment with ITSM processes.
• Conduct vulnerability assessment and mitigation planning for network and security infrastructure.
• Support system integration and solution deployment.
• Handle stakeholder communication, inventory, and operational responsibilities as needed.
