Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an senior network architect to own APAC network design and reliability. You will set standards, govern roadmaps, and drive secure, scalable architectures across complex enterprise environments.

Job description

Own network architecture, reliability engineering, automation, and operational resilience across APAC, delivering scalable, secure, and highly available network services through standardised designs, proactive monitoring, intelligent automation, and continuous improvement.

Set and govern end-to-end network architectures, design standards, and technology roadmaps that meet security, resilience, scalability, and regulatory requirements.

Define network SLIs/SLOs and build the telemetry, dashboards, and intelligent alerting needed to improve reliability, fault detection, and performance visibility.

Build secure network automation and Infrastructure-as-Code with Python, Ansible, APIs, and Git to simplify operations and enable controlled self-healing.

Design for high availability, disaster recovery, failover, and capacity planning, while tuning network performance and resilience.

Act as L3 escalation lead, driving root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews to eliminate recurring problems through lasting corrective actions.

Integrate security, risk management, compliance, and lifecycle governance into all network technologies and services.

Coach engineering teams, standardise technical practices, chair architecture reviews, and ensure technology investments support the APAC network strategy.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• 10+ years in network architecture, engineering, infrastructure/platform engineering, SRE, or network operations, with significant exposure to complex enterprise environments, ideally in banking or financial services.
• CCNP/CCIE certification, with a proven record of designing resilient data centre, campus, branch, WAN/SD-WAN, Internet, cloud connectivity, wireless, and network security solutions.
• Deep knowledge of routing and switching, BGP, OSPF, QoS, multicast, high availability, segmentation, VPN, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, load balancing, and network access control.
• Hands-on skills in Python, Ansible, REST APIs, Git, JSON/YAML, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) or orchestration practices.
• Solid grasp of observability and telemetry, including SNMP, syslog, flow analytics, synthetic monitoring, dashboards, alerting, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, and capacity engineering.
• Experience with enterprise networking and security platforms such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5, Meraki, Zscaler, and Cisco ISE, or equivalents.
• Demonstrated strength in complex troubleshooting, packet analysis, RCA, post-incident reviews, problem management, risk assessment, and technical documentation.
