Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business, is seeking a detail-oriented NDT Inspector (FPI Level 2) in Singapore to support manufacturing processes and quality assurance. You will interpret drawings, operate inspection gauges, and document results per SOPs while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Diploma in Engineering and Level 2 FPI certification with 400+ hours experience. Night shifts and overtime may be required; company transport is provided where applicable.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Level 2 in FPI with at least 400 hours FPI experience.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology.
• Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical instruction, drawing and SOP.
• Meticulous with an eye for details and hands-on approach.
• Carry out physical tasks to lift and carry parts/fixtures with equipment & tools.
• Pass vision and color blindness tests.
• Willing to work night shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel on applicable methods and standards.
• Familiar with P&W codes, standards and contractual documents that govern methods.
• Conduct system performance checks per process standard.
• Develop and manage procedures for NDT Level 3 approval.
• Support continuous improvement programs and CORE activities.
• Be comfortable learning new advanced technology.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

What You Will Do

• Set up and standardize equipment, process parts, interpret and evaluate for acceptance or rejection and document results in accordance with procedures.
• Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and as directed, be capable of providing the necessary guidance to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
• Familiar with the P&W codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods including the scope and limitations of each technique/method.
• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard.
• Develop and manage procedures and inspection technique (sheets) for NDT Level 3 approval.
• Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
• Comfortable to learn new advanced technology.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have *

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Level 2 in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) with at least 400 hours FPI experience.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology
• Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical instruction, drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Carry out physical tasks to lift and carry parts/fixtures with the aid of equipment & tools.
• Pass vision exam (Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12 inches) and a color blindness test.
• Willing to work on night shifts and overtime on need basis.
