Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Singapore seeks an NDT Level 2 inspector to set up and standardize inspection processes, evaluate parts for acceptance, and document results.

You will work onsite, familiar with FPI, and develop procedures for level 3 approval, supporting CORE and continuous improvement. Night shift/overtime may be required; diploma in engineering is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or relevant disciplines.
• Level 2 in FPI (Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection) with at least 400 hours FPI experience.
• Knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology
• Familiar with inspection gauges, tools and equipment.
• Ability to understand technical instruction, drawing and standard operation procedures (SOP).
• Meticulous with an eye for details and adopts a hands-on approach.
• Carry out physical tasks to lift and carry parts/fixtures with the aid of equipment & tools.
• Pass vision exam (Jaeger #1 test chart at not less than 12 inches) and a color blindness test.
• Willing to work on night shifts and overtime on need basis.

• Conduct system performance checks in accordance with applicable process standard.
• Develop and manage procedures and inspection technique (sheets) for NDT Level 3 approval.
• Support the continuous improvement programs and CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) activities.
• Comfortable to learn new advanced technology.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned.
