Job summary

Health Promotion Board (HPB) seeks a policy professional to define and develop national preventive health policies and strategies. You will engage senior government and industry stakeholders to influence decision making, working with academic partners and regulatory bodies to operationalize solutions.

The role focuses on obesity control, nutrition, tobacco and alcohol policy areas, with a mandate to drive evidence-based policy development and high-impact public health programs in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in life sciences or health promotion or related field.
• Experience in public policy development or developmental planning is preferred.
• Strong ability to analyse data and translate insights into policy actions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Review public health findings and market data; translate into evidence-based policies and strategies.
• Lead consultations with government agencies, companies and experts to align stakeholders and enable policy implementation.
• Collaborate with regulatory bodies and industry to translate strategy into actionable programs.
• Monitor and evaluate policies to assess impact and iterate approaches.
• Foster strategic alliances locally and internationally to support policy advocacy.
• Guide team members in addressing queries from companies, experts and the public.
