Job summary

Nanyang Technological University Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant to support a project on novel approaches for nano-microplastics (NMPs) characterization in water systems in Singapore. The role focuses on detecting nano-microplastics and helping establish standard methods for their detection in Singapore.

Responsibilities include designing experiments with RFs and PIs, conducting measurements, handling on-site sampling, and processing data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry, environmental engineering, chemistry or a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Assist the PI and Co-PIs in experimental designs, conducting experiments and troubleshooting.
• Perform on-site sampling of nano-microplastics in different water sources.
• Operate instruments such as LDlR, Raman, TGA and Py-GCMS.
• Process and analyze data from the instruments.
• Summarize findings and produce progress and final reports.
