Job summary

Luxoft is engaged in a strategic upgrade of a Murex MX.3 platform for a leading bank in Singapore. This role focuses on transforming data to MxML, building MxML Exchange workflows, and documenting specs and test cases to support reconciliation, testing automation, and governance frameworks.

The candidate will work on BO workflow CRs, report builds, and custom tasks, while coordinating with development and infrastructure teams to ensure environment readiness and timely status reporting.

Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of experience on MX3.1 Back office.
• Understanding of the Murex system as a whole.
• Good understanding of capital market products.
• MXML exchange interface/MXML integration experience is mandatory.
• Experience of Murex upgrade project.
• Good understanding of Murex 3.1 workflow and MxML, familiar with Event, Contract, Exchange, Deliverable workflows.
• In-depth experience in Murex workflow development including trade life cycle and interface workflows.
• Ability to perform business analysis and requirement gathering independently.
• Experience in UNIX and SQL.
• Experience in Confirmation Build (Paper/Swift).
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Experience on ISO20022 MX messages.
• Understanding of financial markets; derivatives knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Write transformation logic for source data to MxML format.
• Create MxML import/export workflows using MXML Exchange.
• Document functional/technical specs and test cases.
• Produce exception reports for failures.
• Configure and build Murex reports for report-based interfaces.
• Build custom tasks in MxML Exchange for specific processing.
• Work on CRs for BO workflows (Contract, Event, Deliverable & other objects).
• Prepare and send periodic status reports.
• Track testing progress and escalate issues early.
• Assist in test plan preparation and execution.
• Identify error conditions and escalate for resolution.
• Escalate issues/risks to PM in a timely fashion.
• Assist PM with effort estimation for development and UAT.
• Coordinate with development and infra for Mx environments availability.
• Create and maintain report delivery plan with traceability.

One of our client (a leading bank of Singapore) is undertaking a strategic upgrade of its Murex MX.3 platform to enhance system resilience, support new product capabilities, and align with evolving regulatory and operational requirements.This initiative includes upgrading from version 3.1.42.48b to 3.1.6x.x, onboarding the EQA and OSP Excess modules, and implementing comprehensive reconciliation, testing automation, and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Write transformation logic for source data format to Murex understandable format (MxML)
• Create MxML import and export workflows using MXML Exchange
• Document Functional, Technical Specification and Test Cases for integration
• Produce exception reports for failures
• Configure and Build Murex Reports for reports-based interfaces
• Build custom tasks in MxML Exchange for specific processing not available through standard task library
• Work on CRs for BO Workflows including Contract, Event, Deliverable & other Business object workflows
• Prepare and send effective periodic and timely status reports
• Track the testing progress and elevate the issue well in advance
• Assists in the preparation and execution of test plans
• Identifies the conditions that create errors to occur and escalates outstanding issues for clarification and resolution
• Escalates identified issues/risks in a timely fashion to the PM
• Assist PM with effort estimation related to the development and UAT
• Coordinate with development and infrastructure team for availability of Mx environments and database
• Create and maintain report delivery plan with relevant traceability

• Murex upgrade related report development & reconciliation experience.
