Job summary

Bounteous seeks a Murex Back Office Specialist to act as SME for Murex Back Office functionalities, collaborating with business and technical teams to analyse, design, and implement Back Office solutions within Murex. The role covers settlement, confirmation, and end-to-end trade lifecycle processes.

Requirements include 5+ years with Murex Back Office modules, strong knowledge of trade events, confirmations, settlement, and SWIFT formats, plus experience with interfaces to downstream systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with Murex Back Office modules.
• Strong understanding of trade events, confirmations, settlement, and netting.
• Experience with SWIFT and paper confirmations; SWIFT formats.
• Proficiency in Contract / Deliverable / Event / Exchange workflows.
• Familiarity with Nostro Security Module and static data (counterparty, bonds, settlement instructions).
• Understanding of front-to-back trade lifecycle across derivatives.
• Experience analyzing interfaces with downstream systems.
• MxML, Data Dictionary, SQL, XSL, SWIFT integration knowledge.
• Familiarity with collateral processes (MarkitWire, Margin Manager).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Nice to have SQL (Oracle/Sybase) and Unix knowledge.
• Exposure to Murex 3.1 architecture and MXpress, FEM migrations, MXplus, MX.3 upgrades.
• Understanding market data management and reference data flows.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Murex Back Office, ensuring full system capability is leveraged.
• Analyse and document user requirements and translate into functional specs.
• Define system and data requirements and validate designs.
• Perform technical analysis, solution design, configuration, and unit testing.
• Take end-to-end ownership of deliverables with Business Analysts and Testing teams.
• Engage with business users to understand needs and translate into projects or change requests.
• Support and troubleshoot trade event, settlement, confirmation, and payment workflows.
• Assist with interface analysis to downstream systems and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain and enhance static data and settlement instruction configurations.
• Support upgrades, patches, and new implementations across Murex Back Office modules.
