Job summary

Luxoft Singapore is seeking an experienced Murex Functional Consultant to support a Murex implementation or change project. You will define, configure, validate and support functional solutions across Back Office processes, working with business stakeholders and delivery teams.

The role requires hands-on Murex expertise, a solid understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle, and the ability to translate requirements into practical solutions and drive testing, cutover and hypercare

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, CS or equivalent.
• 6–7+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven Murex Back Office functional consultant on implementations.
• Strong Murex hands-on configuration and product knowledge.
• Understanding of financial markets and trade lifecycle.
• Ability to translate requirements to practical Murex solutions.
• Experience in testing, issue analysis and defect resolution.
• Excellent communication with tech and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define functional design and translate requirements into Murex solutions.
• Configure Murex components: product setup, workflows, pricing, market data, settlements, accounting, reporting.
• Validate end-to-end trade lifecycle and pricing/risk workflows.
• Support testing: unit, system, integration, UAT.
• Collaborate with business users, BAs, developers and project managers.
• Contribute to cutover, go-live and hypercare support.
• Produce functional design docs and configuration notes.

We are seeking an experienced Murex Functional Consultant / Specialist to support a Murex implementation or change project.The successful candidate will be responsible for defining, configuring, validating, and supporting functional solutions within Murex across Back Office area.The role requires strong hands‑on Murex expertise, a solid understanding of financial products and trade lifecycle processes, and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, BA teams, developers, and support teams to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Responsibilities

• Functional Design and Solution Definition:
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional Murex solutions.
• Define target‑state processes and functional designs for Murex implementation or change activities.
• Identify standard configuration options, gaps, dependencies, and potential workarounds.
• Recommend functional solutions aligned with business, risk, control, and technical constraints.Hands‑on Murex Configuration:
• Perform or support hands‑on configuration in Murex.
• Configure and maintain relevant Murex components, which may include:o product setupo workflowso event generationo pricing parameterso market data setupo settlement and payment logico accounting mappingso reporting and messaging configurations
• Ensure configuration changes are properly documented, tested, and controlled.
• Support environment migration and deployment activities where required.Product and Trade Lifecycle Support:
• Support end‑to‑end trade lifecycle processes within Murex.
• Validate product behavior across booking, valuation, lifecycle events, settlement, and reporting.
• Troubleshoot issues related to pricing, risk, settlements, confirmations, accounting, or reporting.
• Work with business teams to ensure configured functionality meets desk and operational requirements.Testing and Validation:
• Define functional test scenarios, expected results, and acceptance criteria.
• Support unit testing, system testing, integration testing, regression testing, and UAT.
• Investigate defects, perform root‑cause analysis, and support retesting.
• Validate that configured functionality works as intended in all relevant scenarios.Stakeholder and Delivery Support:
• Work closely with business users, BAs, developers, testers, and project managers.
• Support issue resolution, design reviews, and implementation planning.
• Communicate functional risks, limitations, and dependencies clearly.
• Contribute to cutover, go‑live, and hypercare support.Production and Hypercare Support
• Support production issue investigation and resolution.
• Analyze configuration‑related incidents and propose fixes or workarounds.
• Provide post‑go‑live support and assist with stabilization activities.
• Help ensure operational continuity and functional integrity of the platform.Documentation:
• Produce and maintain functional design documents, configuration notes, test scripts, and support documentation.
• Ensure traceability from business requirements to functional design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Maintain accurate records of configuration decisions, assumptions, and known limitations.
