Job summary

Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations Pte. Ltd. seeks an Equipment Technician to monitor and sustain manufacturing tools, troubleshoot electro-mechanical systems, and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical or mechanical troubleshooting on electro-mechanical equipment used in manufacturing.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and reassemble equipment per manuals and drawings.
• Use test/diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts and validations.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required; implement modifications as directed by engineers.
• Identify AI-enabled enhancements and share improvements to improve efficiency and quality.

Job description

Equipment Technicians are responsible for monitoring,sustaining, and improving the equipment in their assigned area, while workingin partnership with Shift Operations team members, area equipment engineers andtool vendors. Equipment Technicians monitor tool performance, schedule andperform preventative maintenance on assigned tool sets, and use mechanical,electronic and PC/software skills to repair equipment issues.

Main Responsibilities

• Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process
• Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings
• Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required
• May perform equipment modifications as directed by engineers.
• Integrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.
• Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one's scope of work.

Minimum Required Qualifications/Experience

• Diploma in Engineering. Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering is preferred
• Able to work on 12 hours rotating shift.

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process and technologies is preferred
• Knowledge of AI tools and application
