Job summary

SEARCHASIA CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced engineering professional to lead the planning and coordination of new hangars and supporting facilities for base maintenance operations.

You will work closely with project teams, contractors, and regulators to develop layouts and ensure safety and compliance. The role involves reviewing technical specs, supporting tender evaluations, and coordinating fire safety and commissioning activities, with a focus on future capacity and operational

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering required.
• Experience in MRO hangar/aerospace park design or construction project management preferred.
• Willing to be based in India for more than 6 months must be stated clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of new hangars and facilities with project teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, insurers, and regulators.
• Develop functional layouts for hangars, workshops, warehouses, stores, and offices to support operations and future needs.
• Review technical specs, support tender evaluations, and recommend contractors and procurement of equipment and services.
• Participate in project, design, engineering and site meetings; provide technical advice to resolve issues and keep progress.
• Coordinate fire safety requirements and review fire protection systems, testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and witness testing and commissioning of major equipment and systems; ensure documentation and handover readiness.
• Support facilities organisation development, including defining roles, recruitment, training, maintenance requirements, and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and coordination of new hangars and supporting facilities, working closely with project teams, contractors, consultants, vendors, insurers, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop functional layouts for hangars, workshops, warehouses, stores, and offices to support base maintenance operations and future requirements.
• Review technical specifications, support tender evaluations, and recommend the appointment of contractors and procurement of specialised equipment and engineering services.
• Participate in project, design, engineering, and site meetings while providing technical advice to resolve issues and maintain project progress.
• Coordinate fire safety requirements with relevant stakeholders and review fire protection systems, testing requirements, maintenance documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee and witness testing and commissioning of major engineering equipment, specialised systems, and storage solutions, ensuring proper documentation and readiness for operational handover.
• Support the development of the facilities organisation, including defining roles, recruitment, training, maintenance requirements, operating procedures, as-built drawings, and maintenance schedules.
