Job summary

Joyride Motorcycle in Singapore seeks an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to join our Serangoon North workshop. This full-time role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge motorcycle technology and a diverse range of models, ensuring safety and peak performance for every ride.

You will diagnose faults, perform maintenance, rebuild engines, inspect components, and liaise with customers on repairs and estimates.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of motorcycle systems including engines and suspensions.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and specialised tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Good communication with customers and colleagues.
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to learn more qualifications.
  • Experience with popular motorcycle brands and models.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake servicing and tyre care.
  • Inspect motorcycles for wear and damage requiring repair or replacement.
  • Dismantle and rebuild engines, transmissions and major components.
  • Repair or replace engine, suspension, brake, and fuel systems.
  • Weld and fabricate parts as needed for repairs.
  • Test motorcycles after repairs to ensure safety and performance.
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
  • Liaise with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and workshop best practices.

About the role

Joyride Motorcycle is seeking an experienced Motorcycle Mechanic to join our dynamic team in Serangoon North, North-East Region. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge motorcycle technology and a diverse range of vehicles. As a Motorcycle Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of vehicle safety and performance for our valued customers. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring that every motorcycle that leaves our workshop is in optimal condition, contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the reputation of Joyride Motorcycle.

What you'll be doing
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in motorcycles using specialised diagnostic equipment and tools

  • Performing routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, brake servicing, chain adjustments and tyre maintenance

  • Conducting comprehensive inspections of motorcycles to identify wear and damage requiring repair or replacement

  • Dismantling and rebuilding motorcycle engines, transmissions and other major components

  • Repairing or replacing faulty engine parts, suspension systems, brake systems and fuel systems

  • Welding and fabricating parts as required for repair work

  • Testing motorcycles after repairs and maintenance to ensure they meet safety and performance standards

  • Maintaining accurate service records and documentation for all work completed

  • Liaising with customers to explain repair requirements and provide estimates

  • Adhering to health and safety regulations and workshop best practices at all times

What we're looking for
  • Comprehensive knowledge of motorcycle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, braking systems and suspension

  • Proficiency in using mechanical tools, diagnostic equipment and specialised motorcycle maintenance equipment

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues efficiently

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

  • Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members

  • Good communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues

  • Valid driving licence and willingness to undertake additional technical qualifications

  • Experience with popular motorcycle brands and models
