Job summary

OCAS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking an Electrical/Motion Control engineer to design electrical systems for wafer probers and to develop CAD-based schematics and layouts.

You will run feasibility studies, build prototypes, and perform tests to validate performance in collaboration with mechanical and software engineers. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and a willingness to stay updated with the latest motion control and semiconductor trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Strong understanding of motion control, motors, drives, and feedback systems.
• Experience with wafer probers or semiconductor test equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for motion control in wafer probers.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and CAD layouts.
• Run feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses.
• Build and test prototypes to assess performance.
• Conduct tests to meet performance criteria and industry standards.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and systems engineers.
• Communicate design progress and issues to stakeholders.
• Support customers with technical solutions and insights.
• Stay updated on motion control tech and semiconductor trends.
• Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency.
• Manage motion control design projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare documentation: design reports, test plans, manuals.
• Coordinate with project managers to align goals.
• Ensure designs comply with safety regs and company policies.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures.
