Job summary

OCAS SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineer to conceptualize, design and validate automation equipment for semiconductor applications.

You will develop 3D models and detailed drawings, perform feasibility studies, and generate BOMs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet schedules and budgets. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in automation or semiconductor equipment design, proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD, and strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree/master in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering
• Experience in Wafer Handling, Wafer alignment, Wafer Transfer, Warped Wafer Handling & Load Port design
• At least 3 years of working experience in Automation or Semiconductor Equipment Design
• Proficient usage of 3D CAD design tool – SolidWorks / AutoCAD
• Good communication skills, confident in spoken and written English
• Strong in analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge in Deep Learning (AI) and Strong background in mathematical / statistical modelling, data modelling is a plus.
• Willing to travel overseas when required

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, develop and design Automation/Semiconductor Equipment according to customer’s specification requirements.
• Design material handling systems and components for wafer probers, including wafer loading, unloading, transport, and alignment mechanisms.
• Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and 3D models using CAD software.
• Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts and performance.
• Create detailed design specifications and documentation.
• Generate and maintain detailed bill of materials (BOM)
• Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings
• Patriciate actively in assembly, integration, installation operation and troubleshooting of equipment.
• Develop design verification test plans and reports.
• Responsible for equipment specifications & buy off.
• Produce 2D and 3D drawings, document all design work & BOM list.
• Able to keep to project schedule and resolve design issues in a timely manner.
• Work with a cross-functional team to achieve project objectives.
• Present detailed design and supporting simulations/calculations for review by key
• Conduct simulations to predict system behavior and validate design choices.
• Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate system performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during testing.
• Ensure projects run on-schedule and within budget
• Hands-on assembly and testing of prototype, including performance characterization with precision measuring equipment
