The Mortgage People is seeking a mortgage advisory professional to help homeowners and property investors understand options, structure financing and secure a suitable loan. You will manage inquiries from initial contact through approval and completion, making the process clearer and less stressful.

You may come from mortgage advisory, banking or financial services or from a strong consultative sales background and be ready to learn.

Responsibilities

• Respond to qualified inbound enquiries from homeowners and buyers.
• Understand each client's property plans, financial position and borrowing needs.
• Compare mortgage packages and recommend financing options.
• Explain interest rates, loan structures and refinancing options clearly.
• Guide clients through the application, approval and completion process.
• Coordinate with banks, property professionals and other partners.
• Review existing mortgage portfolios and identify refinancing opportunities.
• Build trusted, long-term relationships that lead to repeat business and referrals.

Buying or refinancing a property is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will make. You will help homeowners and property investors understand their options, structure their financing, and secure a mortgage that suits their needs.

You will work with clients from their initial enquiry through to loan approval and completion making a complex process clearer, simpler and less stressful.

What you'll be doing

• Respond to qualified inbound enquiries from homeowners and property buyers
• Understand each client's property plans, financial position and borrowing needs

• Guide clients through the application, approval and completion process

Who we're looking for

You may already have experience in mortgage advisory, banking or financial services or you may come from a strong consultative sales background and be ready to learn.

You are likely to succeed in this role if you:

• Can understand financial information and explain it in plain language
• Take ownership of your work and follow through consistently
• Are organised, responsive and comfortable managing multiple clients

Experience in mortgages, secured lending, unsecured lending, property, banking, insurance, financial advisory or customer-facing sales would be advantageous.
