Job summary

Hitachi Asia Ltd. Singapore, a regional hub for Hitachi, invites a Research Engineer to contribute to mobility and transportation simulation solutions, digital twins, and AI-enabled optimization for urban mobility in Southeast Asia.

You will work on prototype development, demonstrations, and exhibition systems, translating research concepts into practical applications through modeling, software engineering, and data analysis. Fresh graduates are welcome; a Master’s is preferred for advanced work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; 2–5 years' experience beneficial.
• Experience designing simulation models with AnyLogic.
• Knowledge of DES and agent-based simulation.
• Web app development with API design/integration.
• GIS tools like ArcGIS or QGIS.
• Geospatial data formats (OSM, GeoJSON, Shapefile).
• Proficiency in Java and Python.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure model components for mesoscopic and microscopic simulation.
• Design and develop simulation workflows and logic for object movement and system behavior.
• Develop software modules for simulation execution, analysis, and visualization.
• Prepare scripts for simulation execution workflows and document progress.
• Support AI/ML model integration and optimization where applicable.
• Collaborate with researchers and engineers on solution design.
