Job summary

National Library Board (NLB) in Singapore seeks a Library Officer to support MOLLY, our mobile library service, by delivering programs and expanding community reach. You will engage families, persons with disabilities, and underserved communities through outreach and on-site activities at Jurong Library and islandwide events.

The role focuses on program execution, service improvements, and stakeholder engagement, with potential for development within a caring, collaborative library system.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years in programme management or outreach.
• Passion for promoting reading and serving communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder relations.
• Ability to supervise staff and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Promote MOLLY’s library collection during outreaches.
• Engage patrons through storytelling and roadshows.
• Provide quality customer service and handle inquiries.
• Manage temporary staff and volunteers and training.
• Ensure MOLLY facilities are well maintained.
• Support operations including rosters, site recces, and reports.
• Engage partners to promote MOLLY’s services.
