Job summary

The National Library Board (NLB) in Singapore invites applications for a two-year contract role focused on developing and delivering innovative library programmes and services. You will engage diverse community partners, plan storytelling, book clubs and outreach activities, and help curate relevant collections and programmes.

We value candidates with 1–2 years in project management, community engagement or marketing, strong communication skills, and a passion for reading.

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of experience in project management, community engagement or marketing.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for reading and promoting reading.
• Good analytical, written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement new digital and physical library programmes and services.
• Organise, co-curate and facilitate programmes for target service segments and partners (e.g. storytelling, book clubs, community programmes).
• Conduct programmes to engage community partners, e.g. outreach to schools, SPED schools, community organisations, class visits, etc.
• Ensure programmes and services are relevant and impactful through evaluation of feedback and data analysis.
• Responsible for the quality and breadth of collection and programme in allocated target segments in the branch.
• Develop understanding of library users through ground engagement and surveys to promote collections and services.
• Maintain quality and relevance of collections by evaluating data such as branch usage and loan data.
• Provide book recommendations through programmes, reviews and displays, tracking effectiveness of displays and projects.
• Build rapport with regular users to discover interests or potential projects for the spaces and library support.
