Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking an experienced native Android developer to design, build, and maintain mobile applications using Kotlin and Java. You will implement MVVM and Clean Architecture, apply security best practices, integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise services, and participate in Agile/Scrum teams with UI/UX, architects, and product owners.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT,Software Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on native Android development experience.
• Proficient with Kotlin, Java, Android SDK and Android Studio.
• Security expertise including Android Keystore, data encryption, OAuth/JWT, MFA.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Bitrise).
• Nice to have: banking systems, cross-platform or HarmonyOS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Implement MVVM and Clean Architecture and design patterns.
• Ensure security: OAuth 2.0, JWT, MFA, biometric login, pinning, OS protection.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and enterprise backend services.
• Write unit/UI tests; perform code reviews and fix performance issues.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, scans, and deployments.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, architects, cybersecurity engineers, and product owners in Agile/Scrum.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Application Development:Design, build, and maintain native Android applications usingKotlinandJava.
• Architecture & Clean Code:Implement scalable architectures (MVVM,Clean Architecture) and design patterns.
• Security & Compliance:Implement secure authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT, MFA), biometric login (Fingerprint/Face Unlock), certificate pinning, and Android Keystore protection adhering toOWASP Mobile Top 10and SSDLC standards.
• API Integration:Integrate RESTful APIs, JSON-based web services, and enterprise backend microservices.
• Quality & Testing:Write unit and UI automation tests (JUnit, Espresso), practice TDD, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex performance issues.
• DevOps & Delivery:Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, vulnerability scanning, and App Store/Play Store deployments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with UI/UX designers, solution architects, cybersecurity engineers, and product owners in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on native Android development experience.
• CoreTech Stack: Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, RxJava.
• Security Expertise: Cryptography, Android Keystore, data encryption at rest/in transit, threat detection (e.g., v-Key, Zimperium).
• Tools& CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Bitrise, SonarQube, Gradle, JIRA/Confluence.
• Nice to Have: Experience with mobile/internet banking systems, cross-platform frameworks, or HarmonyOS.
