Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Android Developer to design, build, and maintain native Android apps using Kotlin and Java within an Agile team.

You will implement MVVM/Clean Architecture, ensure secure authentication, integrate RESTful services, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while collaborating with UI/UX, architects, and cybersecurity engineers.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on native Android development.
• Core Tech Stack: Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines/Flow, RxJava.
• Security Expertise: Cryptography, Android Keystore, data encryption at rest/in transit, threat detection.
• Tools & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, Bitrise, SonarQube, Gradle, JIRA/Confluence.
• Nice to Have: Experience with mobile/internet banking systems, cross-platform frameworks, or HarmonyOS.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Architecture & Clean Code: Implement scalable architectures (MVVM, Clean Architecture) and design patterns.
• Security & Compliance: Implement secure authentication/authorization (OAuth 2.0, JWT, MFA), biometric login (Fingerprint/Face Unlock), certificate pinning, and Android Keystore protection adhering to OWASP Mobile Top 10 and SSDLC standards.
• API Integration: Integrate RESTful APIs, JSON-based web services, and enterprise backend microservices.
• Quality & Testing: Write unit and UI automation tests (JUnit, Espresso), practice TDD, conduct code reviews, and resolve complex performance issues.
• DevOps & Delivery: Maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, vulnerability scanning, and App Store/Play Store deployments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with UI/UX designers, solution architects, cybersecurity engineers, and product owners in Agile/Scrum environments.
