Job summary

Jurong Port Pte Ltd. is seeking a Mobile Crane Operator to support cargo handling across ship-to-shore operations at our port. You will operate mobile cranes to move ship supplies and provisions from shore to boat and back, ensuring efficiency while strictly observing safety and regulatory requirements.

• Mobile crane license is mandatory.

• Able to perform shift work (8 or 12 hours) and adapt in a fast-paced port environment.
• Able to cross-deploy within the port and its terminals; strong teamwork is essential.

Jurong Port’s multipurpose port operating expertise includes efficient handling of general, bulk and containerized cargo, management and operations of the Tuas Offshore Marine Centre, and Lighter Terminals in Penjuru and Marina South. Besides Singapore, Jurong Port is involved in overseas joint ventures in China and Indonesia. In 2016, Jurong Port’s local and overseas terminals handled close to 35 million tons of general and bulk cargo, and 560,000 TEUs of container cargo.

The Job

• Operate Mobile crane for the handling of ship supplies & provisions from shore to boat and/or vice versa
• To handle cargos efficiently and in full compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate between boat crew members as well as external contractors for cargo handling
• Report technical fault or and safety/security infringements

Job Requirements

• Mobile crane license (mandatory, pre-requisite)
• Minimum 2 years of experience operating mobile crane will be preferred. Candidates with no experience are welcome to apply.
• Comfortable working in an IT-enabled environment (use of gadgets, iPad, etc)
• Able to perform shift work (8/12 hours)
• A good team player
• Able to adapt in a fast paced environment
• Open to cross-deployment within the main port and its terminals, as required
