• Manage and recover repair and cleaning costs from customers.

• Establish and maintain relationships with depots, repair yards, service vendors.

About the role

The MnR Executive is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the Maintenance & Repair (MnR) operations of the Tank Container fleet within the assigned region. This role ensures cost-effective and efficient depot operations, develops strategies to reduce maintenance and repair expenses, enforces standardized procedures, and provides accurate reporting to support management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Approve and control cleaning and repair (M&R) estimates for ISO tanks across assigned regions, including China, Taiwan, Australia, Vietnam, and other designated markets.


• Verify depot cleaning and repair costs to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with agreed tariffs before system entry and payment processing.


• Monitor and coordinate the scheduling and execution of mandatory tank inspections (2.5-year and 5-year tests) to ensure regulatory and operational compliance.


• Ensure tanks are released only when within valid test periods or properly approved for testing at the next destination in urgent cases.


• Oversee repair execution to ensure quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and minimized tank downtime.


• Develop and implement strategies and action plans to optimize maintenance and repair costs while maintaining safety and quality standards.


• Manage and recover repair and cleaning costs from customers in a timely and accurate manner, including investigation of damage cases and cost attribution.


• Analyze M&R spending trends, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.


• Establish, manage, and maintain strong working relationships with depots, repair yards, and service vendors.


• Address and resolve depot-related disputes, invoice discrepancies, and service quality issues.

About you

• Strong technical expertise in container and ISO tank maintenance to assess, manage, and resolve complex technical and operational issues.


• Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities while maintaining oversight and control over regional M&R activities.


• Capability to act as an escalation point for critical M&R issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal operational impact.


• Ability to collaborate closely with Operations, Commercial, Finance, and Claims teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
