Job summary

TikTok Singapore is seeking talented graduates/early-career ML engineers to join our E-commerce recommendations team. You will work on large-scale billion-level recommender systems, building models for candidate generation and ranking, and deploying real-time data pipelines.

The role involves collaborating with data scientists and software engineers, evaluating models, and improving user engagement. Applicants should have a degree in CS/CE and experience with ML frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in software development, CS, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong programming and problem-solving ability.
• Experience in applied machine learning with common algorithms.
• Experience with deep learning tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Experience with at least one programming language like C++ or Python.

Responsibilities

• Participate in building large-scale E-commerce recommendation algorithms and systems (e.g., commodity, live stream, and short video recommendations).
• Build user interest models and design algorithms to explore latent interests.
• Design and iterate on models for candidate generation and ranking, including real-time data pipelines and feature engineering.
• Design and build supporting/debugging tools as needed.
• Support production of scalable ML models.
• Focus on processing large volumes of real-time, unstructured data for AI/ML deployment.
• Run experiments to test model performance and resolve issues.
• Collaborate in a team, applying statistics, scripting and programming skills.
• Work with software platforms where models are deployed.
