Job summary

TikTok is seeking a senior data scientist to join the E-Commerce Risk Control (ECRC) team in Singapore. You will build ML models, risk rules and analytics to protect buyers, sellers and creators, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy safe, scalable solutions.

Requires at least 5 years in data science with proficiency in SQL, R and Python; a degree in CS, statistics, math or related STEM. Familiarity with ML applications and data-driven storytelling is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or degrees above in computer science, statistics, math, internet security or other relevant STEM majors.
• At least 5 years with solid data science skills and proficiency in SQL, R and Python.

Responsibilities

• Build rules, algorithms and machine learning models to mitigate business risks in TikTok products and platforms.
• Analyze business and security data to uncover evolving attack patterns and identify weaknesses in risk defense solutions.
• Define risk control measurements and monitor risk-related metrics across operations.
• Support production of scalable and optimised AI/ML models.
• Focus on extracting, transforming and loading large volumes of real-time, unstructured data for AI/ML deployment.
• Run experiments to test model performance and resolve issues.
