is seeking a System Management Engineer (Command and Control) to oversee operations, maintenance, and lifecycle management of mission-critical C2 systems for a government agency, ensuring high availability and reliability while coordinating with technical teams and stakeholders. This role is seconded at the client site and involves monitoring SLAs up to 99.9%, managing incident response, patching, hardware and software life cycles, and governance across contracts

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information security/IT disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years in IT operations or maintenance of mission-critical systems.
• Experience with SLAs and availability targets 99.9% or higher.
• Strong ITSM knowledge including incident, change, and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system health, uptime, and incidents to meet SLA targets.
• Coordinate incident management, escalation, troubleshooting and stakeholder communications.
• Provide on-site operational support across locations and ensure readiness.
• Coordinate patching, downtime planning, and recovery activities.
• Manage contracts, licenses, security certificates, and other service agreements.
• Review vendor proposals and operational manuals for accuracy and completeness.
